Hello my name is Andrew-Lyko aka One Dope Kid, I began as a young creative who turned to street art as both an inspiration and an outlet of expression to avoid violence in my life. In my child years cartoons opened up a door of creativity that changed my human perception forever.

A cartoon character is just as real to me as anything else in our life, it’s how I keep my youth by painting those feelings that I had as a kid and pulling the magic from the cartoon worlds.

My artworks use mediums of acrylic, oil bar and spray paint in a natural intuitive style of story telling my truth. Growing up in Southern California, I was heavily influenced by street urban culture and spent many childhood days and nights on the streets either breakdancing, spray-painting and exploring the world at the age of 13.

I like tapping into collective consciousness of all ages to bring forth the youthful energy that most adults lose. My belief is by keeping the heart young and alive the rest of your body follows and allows you to live a high frequency lifestyle. My life-work’s purpose is to leave behind a timeless story that inspires the world and makes people come alive with my Art.

I’m painting my story while I’m still here..

A BEAUTIFUL NOSTALGIA WITHIN THE CHAOS OF EXISTENCE.
